AP - Shares of Comcast Corp. rose Thursday after the nation’s largest cable TV provider reported a 6 percent increase in first-quarter earnings and said it gained more subscribers than expected, without having to do much discounting.

AP - In an April 27 story about online video site Joost, The Associated Press erroneously used the term “unique visitors” for Joost and its rivals. The numbers cited were for “unique viewers,” meaning visitors who have actively watched video on those sites. The count also includes people who have viewed videos distributed by those sites to other Web pages.
